Bow to Blood has Metacritic Score of 80
The word is out. The reviews are coming in and they have been tallied up and now Bow to Blood is running a metacritic score of 8.0! A lot of reviewers are very excited about the hours of entertaining gameplay they are experiencing but I am especially excited about the positive feedback for audio and the sound fx!
Shugghead Gaming has this to say in their YouTube review: "Bow to Blood straigh up nails it in the sound department. Right from the outset the sounds of your heavy cruiser with it's giant engines can be heard powering up beneath your place on the bridge. Once things get underway and the events commence the game delivers on every front. From weapons sounds and shield hits to the creak of your massive ship heaving into a tight corner, everything just sounds right. 3D sound is also top-notch with enemy vessels above, below and on the side all having a distinct place in the sound mix and making battles feel more precise and maneuvers more educated.
When in the heat of battle your crewmates will be heard giving helpful feedback whether it just be to inform you of critical system failures, advancing enemies, or even just acknowledging their posts and actions. And speaking of voice work it is surprisingly well done with your crewmates not constantly repeating irritating one liners and instead keeping most comments helpful and topical. Furthermore the main announcer who hosts the events is also well done and really helps to sell the whole concept of the game.
Finally we look at music. Music here is also well done with its place in the soundmix being further in the back so as to not be distracting. This isn't epic orchestral stuff here but it works and helps to solidify an incredibly solid sound package.

Tattastic Gamer VR also weighed in the game with this article where they wrote: "The use of audio really is top-notch in the game when it comes to the guns, general atmosphere and voice over in the arenas."
